Edgewood
Children's Ranch

The CFOA had an opportunity to give something back to the community and join the Edgewood Children's Ranch for a day of fishing on the Butler chain of lakes.  The Ranch has some 60 plus children who choose to be there for various reasons.

Let me just say the the kids we came in contact with were very respectful and always said please and thank you. The ranch does an outstanding job with these children. The house parents and total organization should be commended.

Our day started at 6am with a nice breakfast for all who attended. The tournament started at 7am and ended at noon with a lunch and weigh in. All the kids held raffle tickets and each one received a raffle prize. The smiles on the kids faces proved that it was a successful event.

Most all kids caught some fish and the big fish of the tournament was caught by a little girl weighing in a 5lb Bass .Top prize trophies were given for the largest Bass in the boys and girls division and also the angler who caught the most fish was honored.
